Joni Oraon has completed her Marketing Management from IIMB a part of Micro Masters in Business Management and Micro Masters in Entreneupership. She is presently reading for her law.
She analyse domestic and international market within shipping, infrastructure, oil, gas and energy sector and arbitration within this practice areas and acts strategically. She also attends to all compliances required as regards the law firm and lawyers within the firm. She also attends to billing of the law firm.
She understands the market and works alongside with the partners of the law firm. She assess business opportunities through the lens of value creation; apply the value stick, a research-based framework for strategy formulation, to key strategic decisions that law firms face today; Master the language and tools of business strategy to contribute meaningfully to strategic conversations and the team's success; create value for customers, employees, and suppliers, often in surprising ways, that rival law firms companies will find hard to match; build sustainable success with the help of complements and network effects and promotion and development of the law firm ethically.
She ensures brand consistency and cohesiveness across all forms of communications and materials including press and media relationship management; drafting press releases and announcements; managing submissions for legal directory rankings and awards; assisting with client communications and newsletters; social media management; internal communications; seasonal ecards; supporting the firm with its business development initiatives such as events; trips; pitches, and proposals and empanelment; maintaining relationships with networking associations and organizations; data collection, coordination and maintenance of information. Maintenance of standard documents; maintaining trackers and reports; Vendor coordination; process setting for internal data collection and reporting for seamless marketing and business development administration; supporting employee engagement initiatives of the firm; coordinating with various stakeholders and employees; follow-ups and reminders; maintaining trackers; formatting documents; setting up meetings/ calls..
She is also reading for 'The Arbitration of International Disputes', a course of study offered by Leiden University, Netherlands. This course coveres the entire gamut of the Arbitration of International Disputes, generalities on the international courts and tribunals in The Hague, work of international criminal courts and tribunals, aspects of international arbitration as one of the most common method of international dispute settlement.
